The Much Awaited "Secrets Of A Claypot Returns"
(Singapore, 16 March 2021) – The newly refurbished Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road welcomes diners to savour the “Secrets of a Claypot” (砂煲秘笈) once more with 15 a la carte claypot creations and nourishing soups. A specialty at the restaurant by Executive Cantonese Chef Leung Wing Cheung (执行广东主厨梁永祥师傅), this promotional menu is available for lunch and dinner daily, from 8 March to 30 April 2021. Those dining in a group can look forward to a mouth-watering seven-course set menu that offers a choice of two claypot favourites.
To retain the authenticity and enduring traditions, the claypot rice is cooked over charcoal fire so diners can expect to savour the true flavours of this delicious Cantonese comfort food. Chef Leung’s claypot creations hit close to home with perennial ingredients such as live frog, yam, waxed meat. His skilled fire control also delivers the perfect, lightly charred layer of rice that sits at the bottom of the pot.
The wide array of braised and claypot rice dishes are priced at SGD28 per order. There are family favourites like the Claypot Rice with Live Frog, Waxed Meat and Mushroom (腊肠活田鸡煲饭), Claypot Rice with Spare Ribs, Yam and Waxed Meat (香芋头排骨煲饭) and diners who fancy that light hint of spiciness must try the Braised Venison in Spicy Chilli Sauce (花椒家乡鹿排煲).
To complement and complete the series of claypot rice in the promotional menu, diners can choose from four nourishing Cantonese double-boiled soups such as the Double-boiled Bird's Nest Soup with Kampung Chicken and Cordyceps Flower (虫草花鸡汤炖燕窝盏) and Vegetarian-friendly Braised Pumpkin Soup with Black Truffle and Lily Bud (黑松露百合金汤,素).
To celebrate the much-anticipated return and for a limited time only, take part in the restaurant’s lucky dip and two lucky diners will stand a chance to win a complimentary weekday dinner set for four persons.
