Pan Pacific Tianjin，press release of earth hour 2019.3.30
Tianjin, China 30 March, 2019 – This the 5th consecutive year Pan Pacific Tianjin held Earth Hour after its opening and implemented a series of environmentally friendly initiatives.
Hotel associates invited guests to participate in the Hotel’s “Protect our Environment” initiatives – Encouraging our guests to re-using bed linens and towels for a day. Diners in the hotel outlets during Earth Hour and enjoy 10% discount by showing bus ticket or Shared Bikes record.
Hotel created an Environmental Awareness corner, showing the damages caused by plastic, and Hotel’s initiatives on replacing plastic with biodegradable products. This campaign corner is located in Hotel Lobby and started to display 7 days in advance to increase guest’s awareness. The displayed items of this corner are transferred to Hotel Back Of House area to increase staffs awareness as well.
The Earth Hour Event was held on 30 March. Medias, corporate guests and over 30 families were invited to participate on the night. The Hotel and Tianjin Children Art Institution jointly held the Environment Themed Art creation. Over 60 children and their parents were involved creating blue sky, white clouds, coral, and fish with Clay by hand. This activity allowed the children to start being environmental friendly starting from childhood, and let the environmental awareness take root in their hearts. Meantime Hotel prepared cocktail and snacks, buffet dinner, lucky draw and games. All the guest spent a very joyful and meaningful evening.
The evening ended with a photo taking session with the Pan Pacific brand logo and the words ‘Earth Hour’ laid out with 350 tea light candles. Curious guests inquired about the Earth Hour movement and were left to ponder how they can incorporate environmentally friendly actions in their daily lives.
